Santalahti’s Cave Smoke Sauna & Spa combines a traditional Finnish smoke sauna, a 38°C heated pool and an 8°C cold-water pool in a unique seaside setting in Kotka, Southern Finland.

The smoke sauna built into the cave offers soft, gentle heat. Between sauna sessions, you can relax in the heated pool or cool down in the cold-water pool. A fireplace lounge and terrace with sea views complete the experience.

Cave Smoke Sauna & Spa can be booked privately for groups of up to 20 guests. For larger groups, the experience can be extended to the adjacent Santa Glass Sauna and representative saunas, allowing the entire Nature Spa to accommodate up to 60 guests.

CAVE SMOKE SAUNA & SPA

Cave Smoke Sauna & Spa is a private sauna and spa experience for groups of up to 20 guests.

The smoke sauna, heated pool and fireplace lounge can each accommodate approximately 10 guests at a time. Between sauna and pool sessions, your group can relax in the fireplace lounge and on the terrace overlooking the sea.

FOR GROUPS OF UP TO 60 GUESTS

For larger groups, the entire Nature Spa can be reserved privately. In addition to the Cave Smoke Sauna, it includes Santa Glass Sauna, a second heated pool and 1–2 large representative saunas depending on the group size.

SMOKE SAUNA & POOL HYGIENE

We heat the smoke sauna with locally sourced alder wood. Heating begins approximately seven hours before your sauna session, allowing the sauna and stove to heat slowly and thoroughly. Finnish olivine sauna stones provide the soft, gentle heat characteristic of a traditional smoke sauna.

FRESH 38°C WATER FOR EVERY GROUP

All Santalahti heated and cold-water pools are washed, rinsed and completely emptied after every group. The pools are then filled with fresh water before the next guests arrive.

Our staff are trained in professional pool maintenance, and the pools are maintained responsibly.

GROUPS, CATERING & DRINKS

Cave Smoke Sauna & Spa is ideal for corporate sauna evenings, relaxing after a meeting day, celebrations and other private group events.

Catering for your sauna evening can be arranged through Santalahti Resort. Dining can be organised in connection with the Nature Spa or in one of the nearby meeting and event venues.

Drinks and beverage service can be arranged through Santalahti Resort. You may also bring your own drinks.

Located close to the Nature Spa are Lappish Shelter, Takkatupa and Villa Aava, and Santalahti Resort offers more than 200 beds for overnight stays.
