Santalahti Resort’s five-star campsite is located by the sea in Kotka, Southern Finland, approximately one hour’s drive from Helsinki. Surrounded by nature, the campsite offers comfortable pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents and is open all year round.

There are 120 electric pitches for motorhomes and caravans, located on either grass or asphalt. Around 70 pitches also have a cable TV connection. Tent campers can choose from spacious, flat grass areas surrounded by pine trees.

The campsite has three modern service buildings with showers, toilets and dishwashing facilities. Other campsite facilities include water points, grey-water and chemical toilet disposal points, laundry facilities, a TV room, children’s playroom, playground and BBQ shelter.

All the services of Santalahti Resort are within easy reach. The sandy beach is approximately 100 metres from the camping area, and Bistro Santalahti, saunas, nature trails and a wide range of year-round activities are all nearby.

During the summer season, public morning sauna sessions are included in the accommodation price. Breakfast can also be ordered from Bistro Santalahti.

Pets are welcome at no extra charge. Santalahti has been recognised by SF-Caravan as Finland’s most dog-friendly campsite. Bistro Santalahti also offers a dog menu, treat bar and fenced dog parking area.

Campsite facilities

Service buildings

The campsite has three service buildings, all with showers, toilets and dishwashing facilities.

The red service building in the central camping area also has:

Please note that the kitchens do not have refrigerators or kitchen utensils.

Two newer grey service buildings provide modern showers and toilets with changing areas.

The grey service building next to the reception building has an accessible toilet and an accessible shower.

Chemical toilet disposal rooms are located at the ends of the two grey service buildings.

All electrical connections are round three-pin CEE sockets. Adapters with two-pin plugs are not permitted. Electrical cables must not have extensions or branches, and cable reels must be completely unwound to prevent overheating.

Camping with Pets

Pets are welcome at Santalahti’s campsite at no extra charge.

Santalahti has been recognised by SF-Caravan as Finland’s most dog-friendly campsite. Bistro Santalahti has a dedicated dog menu, treat bar and fenced dog parking area.

Pets are not allowed in the public rental saunas, campsite shower and kitchen facilities or on the public beach.

Choosing Your Pitch, Check-in & Check-out

Motorhome, caravan and tent pitches can be booked online in advance. Advance booking is recommended, particularly during the busiest periods.

Tents

Tent campers can choose an available pitch from the designated grass areas upon arrival. The camping number tag provided by reception must be displayed visibly.

Motorhomes & Caravans

Asphalt pitches are numbered, with the pitch number displayed on the electricity pole. A specific pitch number cannot be reserved in advance, but you can make a request when checking in.

Grass pitches can be chosen freely from the available areas. On grass areas with electricity poles, an electric pitch must be booked if you wish to camp there.

A red camping number tag includes electricity, while a blue tag does not.

Check-in: from 12:00. Earlier arrival is possible if a pitch is available.

Check-out: by 12:00. Please return the camping number tag to reception. Later check-out can be requested from reception.

Winter Camping

Santalahti’s campsite is open all year round.

Outside the summer season, camping reservations should be made in advance. During winter, the camping area next to reception remains open together with one service building.

The winter service building provides:

During the winter season, pitches can be chosen freely from the camping area that is open. The main routes and pitches close to reception are kept clear of snow, with other areas cleared according to demand.
